Shipping

We ship within Canada only. Orders are packed carefully — vintage and used instruments deserve more than a padded envelope and a prayer.

Rates & Free Shipping

We offer free shipping for most orders over $99, with a couple of exceptions. Free shipping maxes out at a $50 credit toward shipping — if a remote or oversized shipment would cost more than that, the $50 credit still applies and you cover the rest. Consignment items generally do not include free shipping.

For orders under that threshold, we calculate actual carrier cost — no flat-rate padding. We compare rates across UPS, FedEx, and Canada Post Expedited and choose the most economical option for your location.

Handling Time

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days of payment clearing. Shipping to addresses that do not match the billing address, PO boxes, weekends, and statutory holidays can add delay. If an instrument needs any last-minute setup attention before it leaves, we will let you know.

Tracking

You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. If you do not see it, check your spam folder, then email us at sales@gearmusic.com.

Free Local Delivery

We offer free delivery in Oakville, Burlington, Waterdown, and Hamilton for orders of $50 or more. Delivery is to the front door; we will arrange a time and call before we arrive.

In-Store Pickup

Prefer to come in? Select local pickup at checkout and collect your instrument at 324 Kerr Street, Oakville. Pickup is free with valid government-issued photo ID. Pickup orders can be inspected before you take them — which is how it should work with a used instrument.

A Few Things to Know

• Canada-only. We do not ship internationally at this time (exceptions for one-off, custom, unique, or vintage items may be arranged by contacting us directly).
• PO boxes and remote rural addresses may ship Hold for Pickup at the nearest carrier location.
• COD is not available.
• Oversized items (large speaker cabinets, full drum kits) may require a freight quote — we will contact you before shipping.
• Risk of loss and title pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
