Returns

We stand behind what we sell. If something is not right, we want to know. Vintage Gear follows the same return policy as Gear Music.

Return Window

All returns require a return authorization number (RA#), clearly written on the front of the package. You can obtain an RA# only by email at sales@gearmusic.com (or gear@gearmusic.net). We will not accept any return without an RA#.

We only issue an RA# within 7 days of receiving your product. Returns are subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee. Defective merchandise will only be replaced by the same item. Items must be postmarked no later than three (3) business days after an RA# is issued.

How to Start a Return

Email us within 7 days of delivery and ask for an RA#. Do not send anything back without an RA# — unannounced returns cannot be processed. Once you have your RA#, ship the item back properly packed for shipping and write the RA# clearly on the outside of the package.

Condition Requirements

Returns must contain all original packaging, components, manuals, and warranty cards and must be properly packed for shipping. We will inspect all returns for signs of abuse and wear; additional charges may apply. Items that contain downloadable codes will have to be verified as unused.

Refund

We do not offer cash refunds. You will be refunded using the same credit card as the original purchase. Other means of payment will be paid using a Gear Music cheque. Freight charges are deducted on top of the restocking charge, and actual freight charges will be deducted from orders that qualified for free shipping. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense unless we made an error in the listing.

In-Store Pickup Orders

If you pick up your order in person, you have the opportunity to inspect and play your instrument and the 25% restocking fee will not apply under normal circumstances. Talk to staff at the time of pickup if something does not seem right.

Non-Returnable Items

Special order, non-stock, discontinued, or clearance items
Software, earphones, books, CDs, DVDs
Harmonicas, pitch pipes, and any instrument that comes in contact with your mouth
Tubes, fuses, used or opened strings, drum sticks, drum heads, cartridges, picks, or clothing
Items marked Final Sale in the listing

Gear Music / Vintage Gear does not offer warranties on any products. All warranties offered are the responsibility of the manufacturer.
